We will review the key features of an authentic early Spanish reading curriculum, and compare how to uniquely teach Spanish and English foundational skills. We will explore two Spanish reading programs—El camino al éxito and El Sistema de la Intervención (SIL)—that build phonemic awareness, phonics, and comprehension skills.
